The DevOps Manager is responsible for leading the design, operation, security, and continuous improvement of the organization’s cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure. The role ensures that production platforms are reliable, scalable, observable, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable healthcare and data-sovereignty requirements.
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage the DevOps/SRE team, including workload planning, performance management, and capability development.
Own the architecture, operation, security, upgrade, and scalability of production Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
Define and implement GitOps practices using Argo CD or Flux to ensure infrastructure and application configurations are version-controlled and auditable.
Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Java, Python, microservices, and AI workloads, enabling safe and reliable deployments.
Ensure all infrastructure is provisioned and maintained through Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, and other approved automation tools.
Establish observability and reliability practices using metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, SLIs, SLOs, and actionable alerts.
Lead production incident response, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, disaster-recovery testing, and operational readiness.
Implement DevSecOps controls, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, access controls, network policies, and security compliance.
Ensure infrastructure complies with KSA, NPHIES, UAE data-sovereignty, healthcare, privacy, and audit requirements
Manage infrastructure capacity, cloud costs, vendors, technical roadmaps, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, security, data, AI, and business teams.
