To design, deploy, configure, and optimize advanced surveillance and security systems, with a primary focus on Dahua technologies. The Senior Surveillance Systems Engineer leads end-to-end CCTV and security infrastructure projects, ensuring high quality installations, seamless system integration, and reliable performance across IP cameras, NVRs, Video Management Systems (VMS) platforms, access control, and related security solutions
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Dahua IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and HDCVI systems.
Configure and manage Dahua VMS platforms, including DSS, DMSS, and SmartPSS.
Select appropriate cameras and lenses based on coverage requirements, resolution planning, and field-of-view optimization.
Manage device firmware updates, activation procedures, and security hardening.
Integrate surveillance systems with third-party platforms and security solutions when required.
Design and implement IP-based surveillance networks.
Plan PoE switch deployment, bandwidth allocation, and storage requirements for surveillance environments.
Collaborate with network engineers to ensure stable and reliable video transmission.
Ensure compliance with ONVIF standards and maintain interoperability between different security systems.
Plan and configure NVR storage sizing, RAID configurations, and retention policies.
Integrate NAS/SAN storage systems for large-scale surveillance deployments.
Implement backup strategies and redundancy planning to ensure system reliability.
Deploy and configure Dahua access control and time attendance systems.
Install and configure door controllers, card readers, and integrate access control with CCTV systems.
Conduct site surveys and prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
Develop camera placement plans, coverage maps, and installation guidelines.
Lead installation teams and ensure high-quality implementation standards.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
Provide Level 3 technical support for escalated issues.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Support pre-sales teams by providing technical expertise and solution recommendations.
Prepare technical designs, system architectures, and solution proposals.
Deliver training sessions for clients and internal teams on system operation and management.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Dahua surveillance and security solutions.
