Software Engineering Manager (Technical Lead) drives the daily technical execution and delivery of the Health Claim Management Solution. This hands-on leader acts as the vital bridge between high-level architectural vision and daily code delivery , managing a remote development team. The role owns code quality, developer velocity, and rigorous technical implementation, ensuring the team delivers clean, scalable, and secure code that meets strict healthcare compliance standards.
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Technical Execution & Code Review Governance: Lead daily technical execution and conduct rigorous code reviews (Pull Requests) to strictly enforce Clean Code, SOLID principles, and precise API contract adherence (e.g., RFC 7807 error handling).
Hands-on Technical Escalation: Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point; dive directly into the codebase to unblock developers facing complex bugs, technical debt, or backend integration issues.
Architecture Translation & Implementation: Partner with Principal Engineers, Frontend/Backend Leads, and Data Architects to translate high-level system designs and schemas into actionable, bite-sized technical tasks for developers
Modern Stack Enforcement: Drive the adoption of modern microservices patterns, event-driven communication (Kafka), efficient database querying, and secure programming practices (Java Spring Boot / Python).
Quality Assurance Partnership: Ensure developers write comprehensive Unit and Integration tests to maintain high quality-gates before handing features over to the QA/SDET teams.
Team Management & Mentorship: Manage the daily output of the remote team, conducting regular 1-on-1s, identifying skill gaps, and upskilling developers in modern, cloud-native engineering practices.
Sprint Planning & Technical Estimation: Partner with the Product team and Scrum Master during Sprint Planning to provide precise technical estimates and task breakdowns, while PMO manages timelines.
DevOps & Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with Senior DevOps Engineers to ensure the development team correctly utilizes CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Kubernetes environments
