To design, deploy, and maintain the company’s server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance across physical, virtual, and hybrid environments, for both internal operations and client projects. The role provides advanced technical support, leads infrastructure projects, and ensures reliable operation of core IT services including Active Directory, virtualization platforms, backup systems, and enterprise storage.
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and administer Windows Server and/or Linux server environments.
Manage and maintain Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
Deploy, configure, and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox.
Install and maintain physical server hardware, including RAID configuration, firmware updates, and hardware diagnostics.
Design and implement high availability (HA) clusters and failover systems to ensure service continuity.
Deploy and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
Configure and administer enterprise storage solutions, including SAN and NAS systems.
Manage storage protocols such as iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions, including tools such as Veeam and Windows Backup.
Design and execute disaster recovery (DR) strategies and recovery procedures.
Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and directory services.
Implement cloud backup, replication, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
Plan and execute workload migrations to cloud or hybrid environments.
Lead server infrastructure deployment projects from planning through implementation and handover.
Prepare architecture diagrams, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and technical documentation.
Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure projects.
Provide Level 3 (L3) support for escalated server and infrastructure incidents.
Ensure infrastructure projects are delivered on time and meet performance, security, and quality standards.
