The Sales Engineer – Motors & Drives is responsible for identifying customer needs and developing technically suitable motor, gearbox, and variable frequency drive solutions for industrial applications. The role combines technical consultation, site assessment, solution sizing, proposal preparation, and sales support to generate new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to the successful implementation of reliable and energy-efficient motor and drive systems.
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify opportunities for motor and drive applications across pumping, fans, conveyors, and general industrial motor-control systems.
Visit client sites to assess motor and drive requirements, including retrofit and energy-efficiency upgrade opportunities.
Prepare technical proposals, equipment sizing and selection, bills of quantities (BOQs), and supporting technical documentation.
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations in support of the sales process.
Provide application support for product selection and prepare technical tender responses for motors, gearboxes, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Develop strong professional relationships with panel builders, OEMs, and industrial end-users.
Provide first-line technical support for motor and drive commissioning issues.
